What is a Slutty Brownie?
These irresistible treats immediately piqued my interest. Slutty Brownies, ingeniously crafted by The Londoner, are essentially a SUPER POWERED brownie comprising layers of cookie dough, Oreo cookies, and a luscious brownie layer. They truly are EVERYTHING. As a private chef, I’ve prepared them for everyone I know, including my current client, SOFIA Simpson. When asked on Leno what makes them “slutty,” she humorously noted, “it’s because a lot of things go into them.” Pure GENIUS.

Whip up a batch of Slutty Brownies right now, and prepare for a life-altering experience. During my first couple of attempts, I sliced them while they were still piping hot, which made them crumble a bit — but hey, that’s part of the charm! If you’re indulging fresh from the oven, topping them with vanilla ice cream adds an extra layer of indulgence. On the other hand, if you let them rest for a few hours, you’ll achieve perfectly shaped squares that are easy to pick up and enjoy. Regardless of how you serve them, they are simply delightful.
Substitutions and Variations
As mentioned earlier, the original recipe includes boxed brownies. However, I prefer using homemade brownies in my version. If you’re short on time or wish to simplify the process, feel free to opt for brownies.
For an even simpler approach, consider using pre-made cookie dough, like Toll House, to streamline the process.
During festive celebrations, I enjoy replacing standard Oreos with their seasonal counterparts. For instance, orange Oreos are perfect for Halloween, while red and green ones add a Christmas touch.
I’ve also experimented with crafting Slutty Blondie Brownies and S’mores Slutty Brownies.

How to Make Slutty Brownies
Step 1: In a medium saucepan, gently melt the butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, stir in the sugar and cocoa powder, whisking them together. Remove the pan from the heat and add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, whisking vigorously until the eggs are fully incorporated.
Step 2: Incorporate the flour and mix until well combined. Set the batter aside.
Step 3: Use a mixer to blend the butter with the sugars until creamy. Incorporate the egg and vanilla, ensuring you scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Step 4: Gently blend the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder on a low speed until well combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, then set the dough aside.
Step 5: Evenly press the cookie dough into the base of a 9×9 baking pan to create the foundation for your slutty brownies. Arrange a single layer of Oreos over the cookie dough, ensuring they fit snugly without overlapping.

Step 6: Pour the brownie batter over the Oreo layer, ensuring it spreads evenly across the top.
Step 7: Bake for 35-40 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a knife into the center; if it comes out clean, cool the brownies for at least 2 hours before serving. If batter sticks to the knife, bake for an additional 5 minutes. Once ready, slice and enjoy.
Tips and Tricks
- This is the pan I bake these in – it’s a 9×9 square pan from Amazon and it’s the best. It’s a non-stick square pan – which is what you need. A glass pan or a pan of another size won’t yield the same results as the photos here.
- Cool the slutty brownies once they come out of the oven for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving if you want perfect square pieces.
- You can use any kind of Oreos you want – double stuffed, regular, flavored, birthday cake, red velvet etc
- IF you use a box mix for the brownie layer, you won’t want to use the entire batter as it yields more than my homemade brownie recipe. You just want to have enough brownie recipe to cover the oreos on the top layer.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I use a different pan size for slutty brownies?
While the recipe specifically calls for a 9×9 square pan to achieve the ideal thickness and texture, you can adapt it to other sizes. Just keep in mind that a different pan size may affect the baking time. If using a larger pan, the layers will be thinner, and you might need to reduce the baking time slightly. Conversely, a smaller pan will result in thicker layers, possibly requiring additional baking time.
2. What can I substitute for Oreos?
you’re not a fan of Oreos or want to try something different, you can substitute with another type of cookie, such as chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, or even digestive biscuits. This will slightly alter the flavor, but the concept remains the same.
3. How should I store slutty brownies?
Once cooled and sliced, store your slutty brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, they can be refrigerated for up to a week. Just make sure they are sealed properly to maintain moisture and freshness.
4. Can I freeze slutty brownies?
Yes, you can freeze slutty brownies to extend their shelf life. After they have completely cooled, wrap each piece individually in plastic wrap and then place them in a freezer-safe airtight container or a zip-top freezer bag. This method helps prevent freezer burn and preserves their taste and texture. When you’re ready to enjoy them, simply thaw at room temperature or warm them slightly in the microwave for a gooey, fresh-baked feel.
5. Can I make slutty brownies gluten-free?
Absolutely! To make these brownies gluten-free, substitute the regular flour in the cookie dough and brownie layers with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend. Also, opt for gluten-free cookies in place of Oreos, as many brands now offer tasty gluten-free alternatives. Ensure all other ingredients used are certified gluten-free to prevent any cross-contamination.
6. Is it possible to make slutty brownies vegan?
Turning this indulgent treat vegan is possible with a few swaps. Use plant-based butter and substitute the eggs in both the cookie dough and brownie batter with flax eggs or another vegan egg alternative. Replace the Oreos with a vegan-friendly cookie version, as many are already dairy-free.
